I'm visiting Mandalay over Christmas via London and Doha. Are there any low-cost goods which you'd recommend I pick up en route for my ex-pat friends because they're particularly difficult to get hold of in Burma?
eg, In Cuba the answer might be soap & hair conditioner; in Ethiopia certain herbs and spices are really difficult to get hold of.
