Depends where you are coming from.聽 Lots of people go shopping in Bangkok as it's an hour's flight from Yangon and you can get tickets with Air Asia from about $40. I would definitely bring clothes and a substantial first aid kit; again there are pharmacies here but you don't always know what's available. Lots of things are available (books, toys etc) but sometimes at a price. There again, you can get clothes made very cheaply for example (try Hledan Market) and anything made of rattan, such as furniture, is very reasonable.聽 Hope that helps!
