SRRV Expanded Courtesy application i can print.
Hello, I am retired US Military and trying to get all my paperwork in order while waiting for Passport to retire in PI. I have not been able to locate an application form. Please help
The best way to apply is to contact Mary Rose. She works for as a contractor for the Philippine Retirement Authority (PRA). She doesn't charge a dime and gets paid by the PRA.  She was so helpful I (like many other Vets), gave her a bonus when she completed my application. Â

Thank you Sir. I am very new at this and I just learned about the marketers being the best way to do this. I will take this recommendation and run with it.
Thank you again
Robert, I am trying to contact Mary Rose but I cannot find her email.
I have all my application filled out, Doctors appt on the 25th for medical requirements. I also just sent an email to the PRA. Now it is time to contact her so that I can get this process started thru her. Thank you Sir.

@mschoonmaker13 I highly recommend James*** He's a top marketer for PRA-SRRV. You can check his google review. Very organized and guides you every step of the way. And oh he replies promptly. His agency does not collect any payment for facilitating the application because they get paid by the PRA once the applicant gets approved. Below is his contact information. Hope this helps.

Sometimes Mary Rose is very busy and does not immediately answer emails. She also said she has difficulty receiving emails when she is not at her office. I usually contacted her assistant Thelma Uy. Thelma is very knowledgeable about the process and she will probably be the one you will actually meet with when you deliver your paperwork. I will send you a private message with Thelma's email address.

OK, so now I know I do not have to use the PM utility to recommend businesses. You can reference business websites but not their full email addresses. Before I would only give the above referenced marketer information by private message but now I know the TOC here allows nearly the complete business referral on °µÍø½ûÇø.com. Learn something new everyday. 🙂

As you can see, there are at least two PRA business consultants (marketers) listed by name in the following comments. Normally I would have sent you a PM with the information but apparently the business information can now be posted. Suggest you use one of them. Our experience has been Mary Rose Baranda and she is highly recommended by myself and many others.
@Moon Dog We have Thelma Uy renew our SRRV id cards.
@danfinn
I spoke with Mary Rose about that and she volunteered to update my ID card. All I have to do is send her the fee and then pick it up at her office when I'm in the area. I'm not sure if she can mail it via LBC but that would be nice for °µÍø½ûÇøs in the provinces like myself.
I'm sure Thelma could take care of it or pass it along to Mary Rose since they work together. I had my card extended for another year while I was at the oath taking ceremony and Thelma is the one who did that for me. Cost about P570 per year at the time if I remember correctly.
I've never actually seen Mary Rose but I've met Thelma a couple times.
Hello everyone,
Please note that recommendations should be sent in private or added in the business directoryto avoid any kind of direct or indirect promotional content on the forum.
I do apologise that we intervened only now to remove the names and contact details posted October 2023.

@Moon Dog. Is the military renewal fee $10 USD or $360 USD?   My card expires in June of 2024. Can I renew it a month early? Â
Thank you,
Robert

Just 500 php/$10.00. You are expanded courtesy SRRV, we are regular courtesy SRRV. Both are $10.00 per annum ID renewal. Awesome, isn't it?
Just know that if you renew through a PRA marketer, they will probably charge a fee as this service is not free as their assistance with the visa is. There may be courier fees as well. You can renew with a visa company like JRC for a larger fee than your marketer. I forgot what I paid her last year, plus the courier charges to get the new card. You don't need to send hardcopy documents to PRA, at least not in my case; they accepted pictures of the biopage of our passports and the expiring SRRV ids.
@Robertee
Is your ID card good for 1 year or 2 years? The card that was given me at the oath taking ceremony was a 1 year card and I traded it in for a 2 year card so I updated my card 12 months early. I wouldn't wait until it expires, I believe a month early would be no problem.
Mary Rose volunteered to update my card when it expires, all I have to do is send her the $10. She didn't mention anything about an additional fee for doing that. The cards are made right in the PRA office so it isn't a big deal.

Quoting my marketer (same), 2 persons for 2 years each;
Your ID renewal is only $20.00, so for 2 years $40.00 and the service fee is Php 2500.00
And I agree, it is not a big deal.
We are not exactly the same; you are expanded Courtesy and we are regular courtesy. Since you are military, might she be waiving the fee? Or did she simply assume you expected a fee, or that it is not free?
Also, I will not be flying to MANILA to pick up the cards in Makati. It is cheaper to ship to Dumaguete via LBC and I suspect said marketer would not agree to cover everybody's courier costs even if 500 pesos each.
@danfinn
Mary Rose said she would renew my card if I sent her the renewal fee and I could pick it up at her office. She didn't say anything about mailing the card to me. I was thinking out loud how nice that would be, but I never asked her if mailing the card was a possibility. She said she would hold it for me and I could pick it up when I'm in Makati. That would not be much different than me going to the PRA office and handing the fee to Thelma, which I did to upgrade my ID card to a 2-year card, no extra fee.
What got the conversation started was my asking if I could update the ID card while in the US. She said all I had to do was send her the renewal fee and she would hold the card for me until I returned to the Philippines and I could swing by the PRA building and pick it up after I left the airport. She had told me previously that the SRRV visa is for life but I shouldn't let the card expire which prompted a couple "what if" questions from me.
Up to now I was working with a woman who is Mary's former employee. I didn't realize till recently that the woman is no longer with Mary but this woman does use Thelma Uy as well. Anyway, I am not sure if I need to go through Mary now but 100% I will not be picking it up at anybody's office in Metro Manila or at
PRA in Makati. I would expect them to be shipped to me in Dumaguete by LBC. Nothing complicated here, I send pics of passport bio pages and cards by email and pay marketer's bank account via remitly and include fees plus LBC courier fee and her the cards. No big deal, it is what I always have done.
@danfinn
If that works I will definitely have the ID card sent by LBC next time. My only concern is the crazy American lady who is now in charge of the PRA is very strict. I wanted to have my passport mailed back to me but she doesn't allow it. When I was at the oath taking ceremony I asked her why we had to schedule flights and book hotels for something that could be easily mailed. Her reply was we needed to get out of the provinces once in a while.

  Lol 😆 At least she had a sense of humor. More likely she doesn't want PRA to be responsible for anything lost in shipping. She will not accept liability for shipping issues plus she has to create some sort of shipping department and a commercial shipping account with LBC along with some way to accept payments.

Back to the OP. I simply ask if you have been to or spent time in the Philippines before you decide on this country and retiring here. It's not for all as there are many things that can leave a sour taste but many others that are worth the effort. Generally we say boots on the ground before any decision to moving/retiring here.
Good luck.
Cheers, Steve.
In addition to Steve's suggestion, here you indicate you are looking for an SRRV application. You need to know that, if you submit the application yourself, you cannot use the services of a free SRRV consultant later on, a person who will make your application much easier and smoother in most cases. That person will give you a form and guidance in filling it out. To get the SRRV form for by yourself, I never did that but I think I saw one on a BI website. Google it. But using a free marketer is up to you. As retired US military, your application should be a breeze with a free PRA marketer consultant. But first things first, what Steve says is important.
Yes Dan if I was to go the SRRV route I would engage a marketeer with the PRA that will make your life easier,,,,, after all no matter do it yourself or engage a marketeer it's the sme cost.
Cheers, Steve.
