Dependent Pass for Kid

pwl91

Hi all,

I started my job since October 2023, My employer offered me at $5.5k and i accepted this figure before moving in SG. I actually want to try luck if could be able to obtain the dependent pass for our kid with my salary $5.5k. However, first round application rejected due to the registered salary in MOM was $5.5k, hence it didnt meet the minimum criteria. I tried to discuss again with my company to increase the salary to $6k in order to meet the minimum salary as per MOM guideline and they agreed that.

Subsequently, HR helped me to appeal again by using adjusted salary amount. However, we got the rejection again from MOM with the reason of my salary does not meet the minimum requirement. Have you guys encountered this before? Any other supporting documents i need to substantiate in order to obtain the pass?

This is either an error (against which you could appeal), or the rules have changed (without our knowledge), or (most likely) they do not believe that the salary increase is real - in that case apply again in a few months with three payslips and bank statements showing that the higher salary was actually paid.

Vaccinations for diphtheria and measles - two highly contagious and serious diseases that are more easily acquired by children - are mandated by law under the Infectious Diseases Act (IDA).

MOH is extending diphtheria and measles vaccination requirements to foreign-born children applying for long-term immigration passes in Singapore as part of the continued efforts to further strengthen the overall national coverage for vaccinations for the measles and diphtheria.

All foreign-born children aged 12 years and below, with at least one Singapore Citizen/ Permanent Resident parent, are not subjected to the vaccination documentation requirements. For the rest of the foreign-born children - who are not existing pass holders - they are subjected to the vaccination documentation requirements. Those who are not due for vaccination should still apply through the Verification of Vaccination Requirements eService: and will be issued the Verification of Vaccination Requirements (VR) (for entry to Singapore) document. They will be informed to follow up on the required vaccinations in Singapore when these are due.

Foreign children born locally to foreigners, are not subjected to the vaccination documentation requirements
