Osteoporosis specialist recommendation

italab

Hi Everyone!

My name is Talab and I am looking for a recommended Osteoporosis (bone thinning) specialist for my mother since I want to bring her to Singapore for treatment.

I am in touch with Mt. Alverina but it seems most their specialists are into sports injuries and surgery, etc.

Any doctors you would recommend for the bone thinning condition (Osteoporosis)?

Thank you so much!
Talab

If Osteoporosis is bone cancer (at least I think so), try the Oncology department of SGH or the National Cancer Centre.

Thanks a lot Beppi!
My mother has bone thinning, when bones become thin from old age, etc.

Cheers,

You may check Dr Stanley Liew from Rafles Medical (Rafles Internal Medicine Centre), he is a famous doctor in this field.

Or Dr Jevin Yip from Gleneagles Hospital, another famous Orthopaedic Surgeon. Can be reached at +65 9734 3087. You can visit LinkedIn or YouTube or twitter account to see his experience in this field (more than 20yrs or so).

Further, may visit Osteoporosis Society, Singapore to get more information.

If you want to treat in semi or fully owned govt hospitals for cost purposes then better try in Singapore General Hospital (Dept of Orthopaedic Surgery) +65 6321 4377

Or K K Women's Hospital ( Orthopaedic Surgery) +65 6294 4050

Based on your case and its stage, they will allocate concern doctor. Wishing her a speedy recovery.
