Hello everyone,

What are the main festivals in Sri Lanka? Are there art, food, music, film, or other festivals 暗网禁区s can attend and participate in?

When do the festivals take place? How long does each festival usually last?

What activities go on during the festival? Is it necessary to buy tickets?

Are there any other events that take place in Sri Lanka that shouldn't be missed?

Kandy festival is now on till the 7th of August.聽 The biggest festival function in Sri Lanka as it is related to the Buddhist religion. Then you get another two in colombo.
Kandy festival is very crowded many forigners and accomodation is difficult. I have a house in Kandy I do provide accodation on low cost basis. I am in Kandy right now to see to those matteres and be back in UK in September.
Then you get up country horse racing and golf in Nuwaraeliya.聽 Then also you get the pilgrimage to Adams peak in September.聽 There are several to mention.

kandy dalada perahara festival
in kandy one times a year has dalada perahara.in every year augest.
one times a year sinhala hindu new year festival
kataragama hindu temple festival.
