@mcveyjock Hi John,   I might move to Hua Hin in May.  Any recommendation on monthly budget rentals close to the beach and city centre. Best Regards,  Daniel

Hua Hin is an excellent place to find Budget rental accommodation, deals particularly good for long term renters. Try Condo Chain & Sports Villa, anything between 7,000 baht to 12,000 baht per month, with swimming pools and gym. Also many new apartment buildings around town for 5,000 to 10,000 baht per month.

I live in cha am. Little more sleepyand lais back, similar deals

I like the quiet so I live 20 minutes land inwards on the border between huahin and cha am.

Best of both worlds within reach

@mcveyjock  Hello we have a beach condo in ChaAm and I was wondering how you manage to avoid the mass crowds of tourist?  Do you have any hidden restaurants you can suggest to us Cha Am people?  Patrick

@martinoo2002  We live in Cha Am also, can you suggest some places to eat for us?  Patrick

@thailand4me A good go to place for a meal in Hua Hin is Ga-Hanoi. It is very central, in the hub of activity, has a big menu, good standard of food and reasonable prices. It also has parking in the back for restaurant customers. I used to go to Baan Khun Por which is a huge outdoor gathering place with about 50 food stall surrounding it, plus a big stage. Lots of top musicians from Bangkok come to play there for free. A place overlooked is The Pony Cafe (next to Makro). Excellent food and worth a visit, (check out the antiques upstairs).

Max (international), Aroi (great cheap Thai food), Didine (French and advised)

And we just google sometimes a hit, sometimes a miss

Miss is still good/ok, just not upto what we want to eat

We eat a lot at seaside between Cha am and Hua Hin but it can be a bit pricy (=5.000 thb up for 2 and wine)

Lasiana is great, inexpensive

Platoo same same

check google and menu's/prices

or

just drive from Cha am to Hua Hin, check the signs and have a look

You will be surprised

Try to avoid the BIG hotels, these restaurants are mostly not worth the money and so-so service
