30 day extension visa

kevh

Hello. Entered Thailand from UK on 60 visa exemption but we鈥檙e considering staying an extra month. My wife鈥檚 Thai and dual nationality so no worries there as she enters and leaves on her Thai passport but just trying to clarify what documents, I need to take to my local immigration office. TM7 form, photocopies of relevant pages in passport,聽 1 passport photograph and 1900 baht. Do I need to photocopy a bank statement and if so does it have to be my UK or Thai bank account or both? We have our own place in Thailand, in my wife鈥檚 name(blue book)but I鈥檓 in the yellow book, suppose photocopies of these will be required also? Appreciate advice from anyone who鈥檚 done this recently as I understand the immigration legislation changed at some stage last year. Thanks馃憤馃徎

No advice was forthcoming but I thought I鈥檇 mention here what happened anyway, might help someone out.

Took photocopies of my passport, our blue book for our house (in my Thai wifes name) a passport photo. At the immigration office I was just about to complete the TM7 form when a member of staff at the immigration office asked if I had my passport and a passport photo. No banking info was required.I handed them

over and she filled out the TM7 form for me, photocopied everything I needed and told me to go to the next desk

along, where the documents were checked and I was given a numbered ticket and asked to sit in the waiting area. After about 10 minutes I was called to the desk, had a photograph taken, as you do when you first arrive in Thailand, paid my 1900baht, then a few minutes later a member of staff came into the waiting area and handed me my passport with new visa extension馃憤馃徎In total I was in the immigration office no more than 45 minutes. I appreciate that all immigration offices might not be this helpful but hope this gives you an idea. Just for info, I use Phetchaburi Immigration Office and the staff couldn鈥檛 have been more helpful 馃憤馃徎
