comprehensive health insurance ( NOT accident insurance)

mekwamsook

Hi, I am thinking of moving to and living in Thailand now I am retired.   I would like your help on finding a comprehensive health policy that will cover me if I need  to visit the hospital, have dental work  have an operation ,e.t.c   NOT accident insurance.  This is for the long term.
I do have a pre-existing medical condition , a mitral valve repair done in 2014 but am not taking any medication for it and am healthy.
I would like to find a company where people speak good English so that if there are any problems...it is easier to deal with..
Can anyone point me in the right direction, please ?

BUPA is good. It'll be great if you do let us know what insurance you were able to obtain. Many thanks! :)

Just check them all out, read the fine print.  Most will not cover you after a certain period of time overseas, others will not cover you after a certain age.

For me self insurance is the only way to go, take what the locals get.
