What is the cost of renting or buying an apartment or house in Vietnam?

What are the typical fares for public transportation such as buses, subways, trains, trams, or taxis?

How much does health insurance cost? What is the price of a medical consultation in Vietnam?

My sister-in-law just went to VN fo 3 months and this is her breaking down on all the spending.聽 B矛nh 膼峄媙h/ Quy Nh啤n area. She is currently still there until after the Tet.

Cost will be monthly in USD.

Rent:聽 : $200 for studio apt.

Food:聽 $300 random eating out with mostly home cooked meals.

Utilities: $50 cool weather during her travel time.聽 Low use of AC.

Transportation:聽 $300 some travel to HCM.

Cell phone: $10 Viettel 5GB/daily.

Entertainment: $200 hooking up with old friends over coffee, karaoke, or light meals.

Travel insurance: $150 through travel agency.

She budgeted about $1500/month with some variable spending for long distance trips outside of local area.
