I need help translating something into Vietnamese

VungTauDon

Can someone please translate the following into Vietnamese? It's a note asking my wife's cousin to buy my wife some flowers on our wedding anniversary and he doesn't speak or read English

Cong,
I am in America now and will not be home for our wedding anniversary on 23/5. On that day can you buy some flowers for me and deliver to Duong and tell her I said Happy Anniversary?

Thanks,
Donald

Yeah, that's true. Of course your presence is invaluable moments like these and you too miss your child's these funny moments.

Hi Don,

Happy Anniversary! Saw your posting and maybe you can give your wife and family a surprise by arranging a Skype or other online chat through your cousin.

I Skype with my friends in Tay Ninh and HCMC pretty often. I sometimes use Tango as well. Both works fine.

As for translation, I used google translate and have a good laugh each time I read the replies and vice-visa !!! ..... not that I am asking you to do this as the result can be unexpected !

Cheers!

VungTauDon

Yeah, Google translate can give some crazy results for Vietnamese because it looks at each word one by one and doesn't take into account it's position in relationship beach other.
I work offshore on an oil drilling rig so we are used to being apart for 4 weeks at a time. I work 4 weeks and get 4 weeks off.
We use a combination of Facetime Viber and yahoo to talk everyday.

You may use Google: Translate English to Vietnamese.
I never trust that it translates perfectly though because our languages are so very different.
This is what came out..........

唬繫紳眶,
T繫i ang 廙 M廙 b璽y gi廙 v s廕 kh繫ng c籀 nh cho l廙 k廙 ni廙m 獺m cが廙i c廙吧 ch繳ng t繫i vo ngy 23/5. Vo ngy h繫m 籀 b廕》 c籀 th廙 mua m廙t s廙 hoa cho t繫i v giao cho Dがヾng v n籀i v廙i c繫 廕句 t繫i 瓊 n籀i Ch繳c m廙南g k廙 ni廙m?

I would try translating one sentence at a time and then see what comes out. Cut and paste each sentence as it comes out of the translator, put it back in the Vietnamese section, translate back to English and see if it says what you want it to.

This is a 5 years old thread.

But you are right.
Whith a little modifications of the Vietnamese sentencess (punctuation, capital letter) you usually get usable results.

But you need much time if you can't copy & paste the Vietnamese text.
