Law on entry/transit/exit/stay (effective 1-1-2015)

TeacherWin

Hi all,

I received some questions in my inbox regarding the new decree which will go into effect on January 1st 2015.
I'm not in a position, nor able, to answer any of those questions. I myself have more questions than answers regarding this law and its enforcement.

All the information I have I simply got from reading the English version of the decree myself.
Download it from the link below:

Cheers,
Win

So we're all on the wait program...

So if my current visa expires in January after the first I can just renew it this month correct? And when would the new visa start? Would it start on the day my current visa expires or sooner since I renewed it sooner?

So if my current visa expires in January after the first I can just renew it this month (December) correct? - Yes, that's what I figured from reading the decree (and this would postpone a mandatory trip abroad to get the new visa)

And when would the new visa start? Would it start on the day my current visa expires or sooner since I renewed it sooner? - I don't understand your question actually - the new visas will be available from the 1st of January, the older visas will not be available after this date - However, existing (older) visas will still be valid until they expire...the expiry date is written on your original visa (page), or in case you've got already an extension the expiry date is written on your extension stamp...

I mean if my Visa expires on January 8th but I send it in to get a 3 month stamp say around December 20th would the new 3  month period start when they issue the stamp or when the previous one expires on January 8th?
