Cambodia Visa Run

owl86

My girlfriend has a work permit here (Vietnam) but as I am developing a website and not currently trading, I am using a B3 Business Multiple Entry Visa.

I renewed it in November 2014 and it cost $100 and now I have to renew it again - $380!!! :(

With the above In mind and after reading some threads on here, can anybody give me very clear information about a Cambodia Visa run?

How much does the visa cost?
What kind of Visa can I get?
Where is it issued?
How long does it take?
Who issues it?

I am completely ignorant on the process and would really appreciate it if someone could guide me through it please?

Many thanks.

Question: Why are you buying a Business Visa? A Tourist will do unless you are working for someone. Just tell them your G/F is working (legally) and you are keeping her happy. Take GF Work Permit number with you.

Method:
1. Get US Funds from a jewellery store behind and to the right of BEN THANH MARKET (3 or 4 there);
2. Go to PHAM NGU LAO Street and buy bus ticket (return) to PP - shop around for best deal. Leave as early as possible.
3. Go to PP. If arrival is before Embassy closes (see web site link below) - go & file Application (link on web site).
4. Ask when can you pick up. If you want to expedite visa - ask if there a 'express fee'.
5. Catch bus back to VN.

Hello owl86,

You can also try to post your question in the Cambodia forum. It might help you in getting more information in addition to the advice Jaitch gave you.

Hi guys,
does anyone know how long is Tet break in Vietnamese consulate Sihanoukville this year? My husband's visa expires just after Tet and we wonder how much time we'll have to spend outside the country. :/

Not sure what's happening with the new visa laws but up until at least December of 2014 tourist visas were not valid for 90 days. Everybody who applied for 90 days stay received B3 "business" visas. Since it doesn't require that you actually do any business it has always been a de facto tourist visa. If you filled out the form for visa on arrival and listed your reason for travel as "tourism" and length of stay as 90 days a B3 visa is what they gave you.
