Hello!

melbs

my name is melbs, i'll be taking a vacation to visit some places. I'm looking to make friends so I can have a better experience when I visit. I'm also thinking of moving to another country and possibly starting a business. I am currently a Specialized mechanic and Alaskan Fisherman, it's not a job I want to spend my whole life doing. I have other plans that I hope I can get off the ground once I decide where to stay. So, getting to know some people and making friends along the way is good.

Hi Melbs,
Before you move here from Alaska consider the heat and humidity. 38c  for most of the day and still 32c at midnight for most of the year in central Vietnam

@Yogi007 Well, I am originally from California. I know heat. But, mixed with Humidity is a whole new ball game. Like I said though, I'll be going to VN to take a vacation and visit and see how everything is. I'm sure the weather is different from Dec/Jan to May-June, however I can get a good picture of how the culture and economy are. I'll also go to other countries to see what the differences are and see what fits me best. I appreciate your advice though. thanks. :)

@lululala Sure, I am 37, originally from San Jose, California than moved to Dutch Harbor, Alaska where I took up a fishery job and than got onto a boat. I am a Specialized Mechanic I fix machinery specifically for fish. Right now we are doing salmon, I made a few home packs. I love good tasting fresh Salmon. I also love taking pictures with my camera or drone from the boat. I guess you can say for now.. The boat "Island Enterprise", is my home for now.. I am on the sea 9 to 10 months out of the year. But I'm close to stopping and settling down somewhere once I save enough to get my business going. It's just me, so I wont be dragging anyone with me. I've been busy just focusing on my job and trying to make something better for my future. I have a game plan and now ready to explore. Oh, and thanks for the post. :)
