The right scooter is the one that fits your needs.

Look at what you are going t use it for, the range you need, then find bikes that fit the job.

I agree. Im a fairly small American however even an Airblade 160 is just so small for me. I would say a Honda SH is a good decent size. A lot of foreigners like the XMax. I really like the Honda ADV but its not native to Vietnam. A lot of Korean tourist and °µÍø½ûÇøs ride that one. About double the price of an Airblade. My personal bike was a Dat Bike Weaver ++. Its an electric bike with 200km of range and feels perfectly sized for someone like me but its got its quirks.

I bought a brand new Honda XR150-L when I arrived here back in 2017 (66 million, with accessories).

It's a bike with a full-size frame, larger wheels, a 12 litre gas tank, and very high exhaust and air intake ports which enable fairly deep water (thigh high) crossings. I used to do quite a bit of off road riding, and this bike ticked all the boxes. Because it's a Honda, I've had very few issues with it. With regular DIY maintenance and repairs, I expect to get a few more years out of it. Honda dealerships won't touch it as it is not sold through any Honda dealers, and is considered an import. Parts have to be sought out via internet sites, so any breakdowns on the road can be costly in terms of both VND and time, being that none of the roadside repair guys will stock any parts (not even tubes or tires. 17" rear, 19" front)

I'm ~178 cm (5'10"), 80 kg (180 lbs). Not a big guy, but like member jrharvey  mentioned, the scooters just felt a little uncomfortable/cramped to me (no doubt due to my always having ridden motorcycles, never scooters).

About 10 months ago I bought a brand new Honda Air Blade Black Edition (56 million, with accessories).

It's my GF's ride, and though I've used it only a handful of times I must say that I'm quite impressed with its performance. Only 125cc, but very peppy. Smooth ride, very solid build, and quiet. Perfect for her urban runabouts. Again, being a Honda I expect it to perform reliably for years to come. A big plus is that every Honda dealership is equipped to perform any/all repairs. Even the roadside shops will be familiar with all of the bike's workings (though I'm rue to let them touch it. for now it gets only dealership servicing).

Don't forget to research helmets.

Contrary to what the locals believe, a plastic baseball cap is not a helmet.

$2 helmet? $2 head.

Ciao. I have ridden a lot of motorcycles, rented and bought 8 of them. Now I have a KTM 399 which apart from the engine is crap and I ride a Yamaha ecxiter 150 every day (now it is also 155 cc). The best I've ridden is the Ecxiter.
