Durian has a pretty strong flavour.
For those who are thirsty watermelon is a good choice ^^
Other than that, sweet fruits : mango,... avocado( used with sugar and milk)
Sour flavor : orange, ...

How to translate all the fruits to Vietnamese? Maybe there's a web site?

I ran out of water in my water bottle...bought a dragon fruit (thanh long). Colors, shape, and the taste are psychedelic. The flavor is so thirst quenching that water was the last on my mind. If anybody goes to the market buy one of these crazy lookin fruits, have them cut it up for you...pay about 20000VND and enjoy.

My favorite fruit is the star apple or locally called Vu Sua. It is a milky fruit and I can have it everyday. Durian use to like it but not anymore. The dragon fruit and custard apple (mang cau) comes in close second.

oooh I was thinking about the custard apple.  What I think was a Vietnamese pear was delicious the other day as well.  It's a huge round fruit that you can bite into like an apple.  OMG!  Walked around HCMC with Sarah munching on one.  One was enough because of how big it is.
