Working in bars,hotels.

elroy01

Hi there,

I was just wondering how easy is it to get a job at a bar or hotel in HCMC.
I want to move to HCMC in a couple of months and stay there for a long term.
But first i want to find a nice job. I have a lot of experience as a supervisor in hotels/bars.

Just let me know your thoughts. Every suggestion is welcome.

Greetings from holland ;)

Craft beer is a real fad here now. Don't know how long it will last, I think it's overblown. Probably better aim for something more solid in the longer term after you've ridden the dolphin. But that probably won't matter once you gain a foothold and can have a look around. Things are developing very fast in all sorts of areas here. Good luck!

But yes, Vietnamese-level wages might not quite be what you'd expect unless you're an executive at a multinational.

Cost of living is still low if you live in a room in a "hem", buy at local markets and lunch/dine along the street (often wonderful).
