Hi all
I had been traveling to HCMC and finally will be posted wef 5 Dec 11. Upcoming trip 7/11 to 19/11, then go back to Singapore to pack.
If anyone wishes to meet up, or if there is a meetup that I can join in, pls drop me a PM!Â
Hi all,
In the next 1 month or so, many of us will be going back to Singapore for CNY. Therefore, I am thinking of organising another gathering this weekend for us to get together one more time before we make the trip back home. So please let me know if you prefer Saturday (10/12) or Sunday (11/12).
Thanks and hope to see your responses soon so I can plan for this proposed gathering.
Hello Gilbert,
New to this forum so would like to meet new faces. Prefer Sat 10 Dec. Thanks.
Hi Serocca1o,
Thanks for your response. Mind sharing with us what is your real name and your mobile number in Vietnam for ease of communication? Thanks.

Hey Gil,
It's just gonna be me.
Zihui's in Singapore for her examinations.
Shouldn't we leave the gift exchange for another date? We can do a secret santa kinda thing. It might be too last minute to do a gift exchange and I don't know how many gifts to get... ... hahahahaahahaha
We can just meet up first and then find a common time to have an early x'mas celebration. we can do the gift exchange then
Hi Kenn,
Hue also said its too early but I was thinking Irene and Roy will be going back to SG next week until after CNY so why not do it earlier. What do you think?
Also, every person who is coming will only have to buy 1 present of less than USD30. What is going to happen on that day is this. For example if there are 9 of u, we will each be assigned a number from 1 to 9, during lunch. Folded papers from 1 to 9 will also be put into a bowl and the bowl will be passed round the table with each person drawing a number. He/she will give the present he/she has bought to the person assigned the number drawn. If someone draws the same number he/she is assigned to, he/she will redraw.
Let me know your thoughts. If majority are not for the presents exchange, we will just meet for lunch and maybe a bit of song-singing at the KTV you recommended or something else.
All who are attending, please feel free to comment and propose too. Cheers.

Postponing the gift exchange will give us another excuse to meet up again!
Too bad I cannot join this one - have fun guys...
Guys, the gift exchange plan is off, as I realised it will be too late for some of us to buy the gift. And like what Christopher said, this will give us another chance to meet up just before Xmas for the gift exchange.
Cruiserseth wrote:Hi Jeanine, thanks for showing interest in this group but it's not about what language u speak but where ur from. If we let u join us, then all the PRC, Taiwanese, Hongkies will ask to join us too. And as the title of this thread says, this is for Singaporeans. Furthermore, if u join us, we will be talking about things back home during our gathering which u cannot relate to. So hope you can understand. I am sure there are many German °µÍø½ûÇøs here in HCMC too.
Once again, appreciate your interest and u will always be our friend here. Cheers.
Hi Cruiserseth,
I am new and will be relocating in Feb, a bit sotong at the moment so doing a lot of reading and this forum is just great.
Since you are already located in HCMC, I am wondering if there is such a thing called the Singapore-Vietnam Business Association? If not, we/somebody should start one. Else, that could be another source of Singaporean contacts.
Is there such an organisation? Anyone?
Hi Michael,
First of all, welcome to this forum. Hope to get a chance to meet up with you when you do move to HCMC in Feb 2012.
2ndly, there is indeed a Singapore Business Group, HCMC Chapter. The below are more details:

Bro,
Thanks for seeing me up. But i am a Newbie and need a few more years in HCMC before I can be up to speed.
Meantime, need seniors and sifu to guide me.
Am new to this forum but not exactly new to Saigon; been living here in Saigon aka HCMC for 2.5 years already....
Am so pleased and willing to meet fellow Singaporeans up for a good meal, drinks and then chat in our very unique Singlish....lah!!
My name is Stanley and was previously working here before I quitted my job and am now doing a small biz here with another Singaporean based here as well...
Let's meet before we head back to Singapore for the Lunar New Year!
Cheers!!!
Hi all, I am back! Who is here for Xmas? Gathering...?
I'm free for Xmas day lunch
Firstly, a warm welcome to guruemz and Stanley to this forum. Hope this forum will serve as a channel for all of us Singaporeans who are in HCMC to stay connected.
Next, tt would be greatly appreciated if both of you can let us know you mobile numbers in VN for ease of communication. And for guruemz, do let us know your real name. Thanks to both.
Lastly, for the Xmas gathering, can someone take the lead and organise it this time? Hope someone can step up as I have a few Xmas events organised by my partners in the evenings this week. Thanks in advanced... ^_^
