Relocating to St. Martin (French Side) ... HAVE QUESTIONS NEED HELP!!!

alphachik

My boyfriend and I are planning on just packing up and moving to St. Martin (French side) form Canada.... not sure how and what the procedure is to moving there.  Is it like the United States where you can only stay for 6 months.  Or can we fly there and apply for residency.  Can anyone please shed some light....would really appreciate your reply.

We have a doberman whom we love very much and will be taking with us.  We also love to ride motorcycles and was wondering if it's cheaper to buy bikes there than bringing ours from Canada.

Thank you very much.

I think you need to do a lot more research.

I have been offered a job as a teacher in St. Maarten. I'm excited about the opportunity, but, I'm having a hard time finding information on the island.
Before I seriously consider moving there, I'm concerned about the cost of living.
Can anyone shed light on how much if would cost to rent there? (All I can find is vacation (expensive!) rentals).
I've also been looking into the cost of food etc. . . .the only thing I've seen people blog about is that alcohol is fairly cheep.
Thank you so much for your help!
