Good Morning
Good Luck with your plans to move to Belize
So many questions ,before somebody can guide you
Is it retirement?, For business, work, Just a vacation plan,LIke beech, Jungle, or gated ,Tropics with all the pleasures and miseries of living in Tropics,
There are a lot of success stories as well as plenty of failures. Your tolerance level for slow pace of life, if you have  at least minimum skills as a handy man, mechanic or electrician, and finally your resources, and willingness to take a risk. It  (moving to Belize) may not work out for many.
Also the level, type and amount of corruption is deferent in deferent countries. It may frustrate you

Come visit, and spend some time in each District. Make sure you include part of the rainy season in your visit.
Good luck!

there is no substitute for personal experience.   secure your US/Canadian property and come rent a little house for several months.  go around and meet people.  check out all 5 districts, each is unique plus the cays.   we came in may, rented a house for a year.  strongly recommend.

Very good advise from Kristinanadreau.  This is a major decision not to be taken lightly
