French Community in Costa Rica

jfink46

While vacationing in Costa Rica a few years ago, I met a lady that owned a large resort near Manuel Antonio.  She mentioned that one of her favorite places to go in CR was a small, quaint, French community near the beach.  Does anyone know what this is called?

Thank you.

I think it was close to Dominical.

Sounds like Ojochal, great restaurants and cafes.

Yes, and the restaurant's name is Exotica.  I had my birthday supper there last February and it is the best meal I have had in a restaurant - BAR NONE.  The owner is a French Canadian.

I agree, Exotica is fantastic, Citrus is a close second place.  Whenever we go to CR we eat at Exotica at least twice.

She probably meant Ojochal about one hours drive from Manuel Antonio direction Panamá. It is situated near Cuidad Cortés cantón OSA near the Southern Pacific beach. Many french speaking Canadians live there and two french restaurants...and I live close by and speak French too...
