Items to Furnish a Condo

We are considering purchasing a small condo in Matapalo Guanacaste and trying to get an idea on the cost of the basic furniture we would need.聽 Items such as mattresses, headboards, end table, couch, etc.

Where would be the best place to get these items at of course the best price.聽

I understand that my husband and I can each bring in $500 worth of items duty free to Costa Rica.聽

Thanks for any input you can share.

Location may make delivery more expensive, but you may find what you want in San Isidro de El General...but best selection would be 'in town'. You could ask the sales agent or another condo owner.
If your intent is to rent it out, know that there is a huge surplus of rooms..and tourism is down.

There is a new tax being implemented where 13% tax is due on any rental less than a month....and the CR government is searching websites to find this type of accommodation. You should be aware that the cost of electricity聽 in Costa Rica and especially on the coast is very high, with A/C聽 adding hundreds of $$$'s to your power bill that you may have to absorb.
