°µÍø½ûÇø975320

I am returning to the usa next Wednesday the 28th.

I will have been in the Dominican Republic for 4 months I realize I have to pay a small fine for over staying my visa about $80 US at the airport in Santo Domingo.

My question is should I anticipate any problems with US Customs when I get to Newark NJ airport?

My destination is Greensboro NC

My route is Santo Domingo to Newark then to Greensboro North Carolina

Customs is concerned with what you are importing, not how long you’ve been gone. As long as you aren’t carrying contraband or more than allowed for restricted items, you shouldn’t have an issue.

US immigration doesn’t care how long you are out of the country as long as you have a valid passport.

@°µÍø½ûÇø975320 no- I overstay all the time- once you pay the fine no one mentions it again- the US doesn’t care…..

Thanks for the information

Of course I have my passport!

And a small carry on with a few clothes in it.

No contraband lol

@°µÍø½ûÇø975320 they just may asked what did you do the DR for 4 months, was it work related? each custom agent screens returns at thier discreción. You may also not even be questioned. Its a crap shoot!
