China stores

oldsmobile442

It seem there are an abundance of China stores or Plaza.  Each town of any size has several China stores the size of Walmart.  Thinking of this, if DR continues to import China goods and doesn't export the same quantity (value) back to China, DR debt to China will increase until China owns DR.

Thoughts anybody?

Most of these stores are breaking multiple laws and some have been shut down by the tax dept.

I don't think these stores have much to do with Chinas investment here.  However, I agree this can be an issue. China has often stepped up with loans etc and often there are some serious strings attached.

Balance of trade isn't really the issue. We have a massive imbalance with other countries.

I agree with Planner - these stores aren't what will lead to Chinese control, it's the massive investments and loans to the country.
