So how many here are in the Puerto Plata area?

Do you have a section where one can post services?  Or would that be a paid ad?  I drive for people who arrive and do not wish to rent a car.  Renting a car costs about fifty dollars a day plus gas here and I will supply the car and driver for that. My car is not new, nor close to it, but I am quite knowledgeable about the North Coast of the country and can recommend activities as well as just drive.  I took a couple to a cock fight the other day at their request. When I picked them up afterwards she ( a 70 year old Canadian lady) had her blouse covered with chicken blood and feathers. She sure enjoyed the blood sport.  I wouldn't watch it, but know where it is if others want to see it.  I can also  recommend hotels and the best beaches for what you are looking for.

I arrive on February 8 from Canada.  I wish I would of known earlier as I would of come sooner.  If the date changes or another gathering arise please let me know.  I will be staying in Sosua until April 21. Thank you.

Known of what sooner?

I think the reference was to an event which Julien used as an example.  There was no event or will be no event February 6th.   I can understand the confusion.
