I would not apply for a work visa and have to get involved in DR taxes.聽 If only 6 months just pay the overstay fee when you leave.

Thanks for the advice!聽 I had a question about the residence visa.聽 So once you apply for residency you are allowed to stay in DR until your case is processed?

I imagine so but the cost will be MUCH more than paying the overstay fees.

Yes once you go thru process and apply you receive a file number. That will do you until your residencia is issued.

Well for now I'm staying 6 months.聽 However my goals is to move there.聽 So, I will have to start my residency once I get there.
