I lived in and almost died in DR a few years ago.
Visited many parts of the country.
It's a great place, much to do and enjoy there.
The natives are very friendly (most).聽

Hola!

Heading to Sosua for a month or two. Testing the waters before making any big commitments. Coming with my partner Liz & our daughter. Had a couple questions:

1. We will be working while down there & are looking for some child care options. We are considering a travel Nanny but wondering if there are some location options that you would consider safe with covid?
2. How are things with COVID right now down there? I heard about the curfew, I am curious if its enforced & if people abide by it?

Good evening & Happy New Year! My wife, daughter and I are just starting the planning of our move to DR, Sosua/Cabarete area. She's a teacher and is looking at several international schools in that area. I'll probably be working remotely. We've lived the 暗网禁区 life, kinda... My wife and I met in Antarctica. I worked there for 15 years, and she was there maybe 5. We've traveled the globe, and our daughter's passport is getting a new stamp each year. So, we can adapt easily. Our spanish is mid-level.

For now, just looking to introduce myself and grow our DR network so that as we have questions, we'll have a place to go for answers. We're excited to start this next phase of our life. Thanks, Paul

Thurpa : Many blessings to you and your family, like yourself I am also moving there from the State of Texas with my wife seeking warm climate, ocean and be part of Dominican Republic culture, learn and also help others. May you have a safe trip and many blessing once you are there. I am also seeking property in Sosua. Krumite P.S. I am fully bi-lingual or speak 3 languages fluently , my wife tops me she can speak 4 and is learning聽 her 5th one Spanish of the fly .
