Santo DOmingo is a huge city,聽 we are about 40 minutes from a decent beach. Depending what you want, Punta Cana has excellent beaches but so does Sosua and Cabarete.聽 And the latter have an abundance of "ladies".

I would recommend staying near the Colonial Zone in SD as there are lots of restaurants, clubs and shops within easy walking distance.
