Shopping in Santo Domingo

I am moving to San Andres soon.聽

It is difficult and expensive to bring much with me on the flight down and shipping anything large than a letter seems very expensive.聽

But, I wonder if some things I will need are available there or, more likely, they are available but more expensive than here.聽

For example; I need an oil-less air compressor, 19V Bosch cordless drills, and a 32in LED TV.

Can some one tell what these might cost in Santo Domingo and where they would be available?

You should be able to find all of that in Santo Domingo but plan on paying 30% or more than what you would聽 have back in the states.

Never having lived outside US except cousin Canada, this will be a BIG change... just what I needed..
