Hi Lavendour,
I took quite a while but I am answering anyway since I see no other replies.
1)Things to see must in jamiaca
Bob Marley Museum, Emancipation Park, National Gallery for art in Kingston; White River or Dunn's River or swimming w Dolphins in St. Ann; Chukka Adventure Tours; Glistening Waters in Falmouth, Bath in St. Thomas, Reich Falls in Portland or rafting on the Rio Grande, Negril in general (water park, Rick's cafe where u can dive off the cliff and watch the sunset), clubs and restaurants galore.
2)Best time to visit jamiaca.
Rainy season is like now (March/April) and also in September/October, but for parties August is great, any other time is good for beach going except for December/January b/c weather is cooler and it may rain
3)Best beach in jamaica as i am a beach perosn
Frenchman's Cove (colder than the others to us but not generally to foreigners), beaches in St. Elizabeth, Treasure Beach, Negril is good but beaches tend to be more crowded, Doctor's Cave in Montego Bay. Most hotels have pretty good beaches and free water sports.
4)About accomodation & Transprotation.
All ranges of hotels, from the backpackers' kind of places to the top-of-the-line, so check the websites (search engine can help if u search hotels in jamaica), the Jamaica Tourist Board site (). We take busses but I don't really advise you to unless u have someone with u and u are comfortable - they don't always stick to the routes or the schedules. U can get what we call route taxis which are cheaper and take you from a specific point to another. Regular taxis tend to be more expensive in Montego Bay. You can rent a bike/moped/bicycle, or car - the car rates are a little higher here b/c of the type of insurance u have to buy, or u can hire a driver with a car for the time. That usually works out quite well, espec if u ask someone to set it up for you.
Hope this helps!!
Enjoy your trip - LisaHR
