We recently moved to Nicaragua from Florida with our 13 year old dachshund. It was relatively easy for us. I went to our vet's office and told them we were moving to Nica. She pulled up some vet website and got all the paperwork and everything handled for us. She had to give him some full examination and update him on all his shots and flea/heartworm medications before she could authorize the form, which was then sent off to the FL Dept. of Agriculture and mailed back to the vet once they authorized it. It took about 2 weeks. Once we arrived here in Nica at the airport, we just walked on thru with the dog, paid a $10 entry fee for him where the airport personnel checked his paperwork and that was about it!
