is there an airport departure tax?

Young retirees

I read somewhere in the guide about a $40 airport tax when we leave Panama, is that  true?

Yes, but it's included in your air fare if Panama is your destination - you'll notice at least for Americans a large amount of fees and taxes added to the base fare.  I assume it's the same for the UK.  I've never made any payment at the airport to depart in the numerous times I've flown to Panama.

That's great!  I will double check my airline ticket. Thanks for the info.

You paid it, believe me.  The airline collected it from you and remits it.

Hello.. as venezuelans every airline ticket that's not copa, doesn't include the tax. We have to pay it before leaving the country at the airport.
