Looking for land to build on.

Staticcling

Good day 做厙輦⑹s, my wife and I are looking for some land with ocean views not on but close to beach. We hope to build and move within the next 24 months. The Ricon area looks like a good place. Any info on building in PR would help. Colorado is becoming like LA to many cars!
Thanks,
Static

Hey Staticcling,
Welcome to the forum and hopefully Puerto Rico soon.
Houses in PR for the most part are build out of concrete. You can find wooden houses but they could be damaged by huracanes. Which occur every decade or 2. Most pass by without entering the island.

You should become familiAr with the island before you consider moving here and where you want to live. It is true that Rincon is popular with 做厙輦⑹s since the businesses and restaurants cater to them, but it has become crowded and expensive and the best properties are likely to be gone.
However there are also several other towns that border rincon where prices are more reasonable and good properties can be found.

Regardless my recommendation is to visit the island several times in rhe next two years and figure out where you want to live and the type of housing that makes you happy. The best thing is to rent for the first 6 months or year which lets you really experience the island without a commitment.

Not all properties are listed and looking for property 2 years out is a waste of time and effort.

I suggest tou read thru he post on the site and use the search feature, a lot of what you need to know has been answered already. After you had a chance to read thru it, go ahead and post questions that are specific to your situation and that will give you a well rounded knowledge base to make your decisions.
PR is not for everybody, like anywhere, nothing is eger perfect and perfection is a personal view.

Thanks much for your response. I will be building using concrete a dome to be exact. We have been twice but in the San Juan areas. If you know of a good agent to use that can be trusted that would help in our land quest. i will also use the resources of the site as a new user it's a lot of information to digest.
Thanks again

Once you settle in an area, you can go ahead and purchase the land, then let it sit until your time comes up.
How much land are you looking for?

Welcome to the Group! Properties here are flying out the market fast. You could love a piece of property now and not be available next month. We're in a buyers market now and there's plenty of options at great prices.
