AEE billing

annabfalter

Hi, all,

We began service with AEE on April 24 and have not yet seen a bill.  At the time we opened our account, there was a $100 deposit which shows up in our online account, however, no new billing to date.  We know that the previous owners of the house received their final  bill about a month ago.  Does anyone know why?    We received the water bill weeks ago, so this seems strange...

This is Puerto Rico, you’ll have to get used to that, if it’s too long before you get a bill, I would call them up or better yet go down there.

They may lump it up for you and then ask you to pay 3 months in 1 bill, call them.

Just call  them enter you account number and you find out how much you owe.  Dont let it pile up. Pay asap because you dont wnat to be shocked after months of not getting a bill

The head if AEE resigned and another one recently came on board who has a lot of catching up to do, post Maria. It's a mad house there, with invoices delayed, lumped over months, and misapplied.

I wouldn't freak out about it quite yet. If you don't see anything in another month or so, check it out by calling or going down to the office near you.

A weird thing with AEE billing.  I keep getting a bill addressed to a different person but @ my address. I called them and explained the issue.  Hope it is now corrected.

That happened to us but it was due to the hurricane and it took months to get a bill after the power was back on... I called them and they sent someone out to read the meter.  Also, you should consider setting up an online account with them and just pay your bill online.
