Belgium student visa, spouse work remote USA?

hanapending

Hello,

i am applying for a student visa to get my masters degree. My husband plans to join me later. We are trying to figure out if he can keep his remote job that is in the USA? The visa system is quite confusing and its my understanding that on a student dependent visa, he is not able to work. So were thinking he can apply for a separate work visa, but will that allow him to keep his job in the US while working remotely from Belgium? Wondering if this is possible some how? Any help would be appreciated.

thank you

If he is a US citizen, then youll need to apply for a D-Visa or Professional Card in order to work remotely for your digital nomad job in Belgium. Work visa is usually if he is going to work locally with company established in Belgium.

Hi, this also my case.

My wife is in Belgium studying and I work remotely for a Singapore company.

I applied on November and still waiting, will let you know once I got my accord

So far, I dont tell my situation to the Immigration Office since they dont ask about it ( I dont think they care as long as I dont work for a Belgium Company).

So basically they dont know that I have a regular income. All they know is me and my wife will live in Belgium using her scholarship allowance + a blocked account we created.
