Birth Certificate

maharaji1984

Hello all,

For Belgium citizenship a birth certificate is asking by municipality.

Is there any clue:

  • If we take it from the embassy in Belgium?
  • If its multilangual do we need to translate it too?
  • In case of legalisation where should we legalise it?

I would appreciate if you guys share your experiences who has done it before.

Thank you in advance.

Hi,

Depends on your country and the rules it has with the Hague convention.

You can get it from the Embassy in Belgium if they provide one and then get it translated to Dutch/French/German as per your province and get it attested. Normally the same people who translate also can attest.

Else the other option is to get it apostilled in your home country and then get it translated and attested here in Belgium.
