Buying car in Belgium

Familykan

Hello People,

Could you please give me an advice that, while I check second hand cars, how much do I need to pay extra than price of the car?

I know you will say depends of the co2 , year, so on.

The question is could you please advice me a site where I can calculate all extra payment like ( tax, insurance, registration , etc.)

If still I’m not too open for question , let’s give an example;

Citroen C3 1.4 gasoline , 2004, 75 PK - price 2800€

Thank you.

Hello Everyone,

I have a similar question.

I am looking for a 2nd hand car for my wife.
Automatic and relaible.

1> Which is the best option for a newbie to search. I know autoscout and cardoen but if there are any other options let me know.

2> For the insurance, my wife has a new driver's license and that also means that the premium would be high, any inputs on this point.

3> What is the status of Diesel cars. What happens to users who have a deisel car and stay in brussels after 2025 ?

Also pls answer the questions from the post above.

Thanks

Hello

1) you know the classical one, you can also check on moniteurautomobile.be (more for the argus value)

2) If you're buying the car together, set the insurance to your name (main driver) and add your wife on your policy as an additional driver.

3) It depends on the city you're living/working, I'd guess Brussels based on your profile.
In 2022 Euro4 will banned
In 2025 Euro5 will be banned
In 2030 every diesel will be banned
