Hi we have just bought a house in VT Batak any advice on housing insurance companies.

Hello Lynne and Robert,

I live in Varna. We have two apartments, one is a maisonette (top two floors of a block) the other is a studio a partner, which is Airbnb.聽 Insurance here is very different to the UK!

You can insure the property for fire, flood and earthquake damage, however contents insurance doesn't include theft! It does include fire, flood and earthquakes.聽 So it's important to put decent locks on your doors and windows.聽

I used SDI, who have a number of shops in VT.聽 They speak some English and are very helpful.聽 We bought two comprehensive policies for both our properties.聽 I can't say it was cheap by Bulgarian standards, but certainly a lot cheaper than the UK!
