Greetings!

SunKing968

Hi All,

I am seriously considering relocating to Sofia with my Bulgarian fiance (we are currently in Germany). Although Europe is my favourite corner of the globe, I consider myself a "citizen of the world," meaning I have an international outlook, am open-minded to other cultures, and don't associate myself with one favourite or "home"country. From a legal standpoint I am a dual citizen: UK and Germany

Key interests include: Music/guitar, devouring excessive amounts of hedonistic food, travel, interesting cars, and the digital asset space / cryptocurrencies

Looking forward to chatting with you, and thanks for your help!

Interesting idea..... and just as a thought, usually relocations take the opposite route, probably 80 - 90 % of the cases.

Otherwise, Bulgaria is a nice place to live, especially between April and October. And if you can arrange the job/business question in the right way. But since you're presently in Germany, then you will have additional interesting opportunities.

Music/guitar - plenty of opportunities here;'

Hedonistic food - even more, but you can't eat that much;

Travel - Bulgaria is relatively small, but with five different countries around it is actually very well situated;

Interesting car - I think here we cannot compare with Germany. But expensive cars are not a rare view at all;

Digital assets / cryptocurrencies - all you need is a laptop and internet connection, and BG has one of the fastest Internet in Europe, or at least it used to be so. And in this line of thoughts, some of the Biggest IT companies have their development offices in Sofia - SAP, VMWare, HP, Progress, Cisco .... etc.

But since you have a Bulgarian fiance, then I suppose you already know most if not all of this.

Thanks Kristiann!

P.S.- The only problem is I CAN "eat that much" : ) - So maybe I need to add fitness/gym to my hobbies/interests : )

Add the "Kom - Emine" excursion to your goals. Once a year is enough.

Welcome to the board @SUNKING968.

And good luck with your Bulgarian Adventure... I'm sure it'll be fun. :-)

We spent a couple of years in Germany, and our utility bills and our renovation costs were astronomical! And I never got used to that everywhere's-closed-on-Sunday thing the unions organized. :-)

We have a *much* better quality of life here in Bulgaria. Mostly because of the cost of living difference. Here's what Numbeo.com says:

"Summary:
    Family of four estimated monthly costs are 5,165.08лв (2,638.17€) without rent.
    A single person estimated monthly costs are 1,505.33лв (768.88€) without rent.
    Cost of living in Germany is, on average, 75.63% higher than in Bulgaria.
    Rent in Germany is, on average, 202.90% higher than in Bulgaria."
