Gas Bottles

fidobsa

A few months ago I bought a house in Croatia and I am currently renovating it. There was no form of heating installed so I am putting in solid fuel central heating but in the meantime I want to use some portable gas heaters I brought over from UK. Obviously the gas bottles are different to UK ones and I need to either get empty ones I can exchange for full ones or full ones I can buy outright with no exchange. I have asked at about 7 petrol stations but nobody will supply me a bottle without one in exchange. A couple of people have told me you can get a bottle by paying 300 or 400 kn deposit but where? :unsure

No, at the moment I'm using bottles from Hungary but again they are different to the Croatian ones so I can only exchange them in Hungary. This limits how long I can stay in Croatia as they only last a few days when used for heating. I have not seen anyone delivering bottles but we don't tend to get much in the way of home deliveries as it is a very small village.
