Advice on changing Driving Licence at 70

MacGeorge8035

Good Morning all

My Wife will reach 70 in July, and she will have to renew her Cypriot driving licence.  We know she needs an eye test and a medical with her GP.

We don't know which forms we fill out and which forms our doctor/optician needs to complete.

Any advice would be helpful.

Thanks

Just ask doctor to sign a form for you.  They don't usually check anything. You can download the form online

or go to the Department of Road Transport office  - you need to take completed forms there - come early, bring coffee and be prepared to wait.  You will need to walk in there to book an appointment as they don't always answer their phones.  If the appointment is in a few months time they may give you a quicker appointment if your licence is about to expire.

Paphos office is on the Mesogi Industrial Estate

Thanks, we are over in Paralimni. It is much easier to see someone here in the DoT.

If you are in Paralimni then just go to the Citizens Advice. They will do the renewal. Walk in ask for an appointment and they will do the rest. Very easy. Presently am in UK and will return on weekend. Will give you the eye test Dr. on return-- a wonderful lady. Rest is easy in Paralmini. They even did my car Tax for me though they dont do it anymore-- Wonderful bunch.
