best to do it in person - I have both BoC and Hellenic accounts and both have been excellent so far

Hi Bazza and Toon thanks for the info. I understand if we get a long term rental that will qualify us for residency is that correct? if so what do the authorities class as long term?

Hello oldginter, Unfortunately, I have forgotten the exact procedure (My age!) but I'm sure there is someone who knows? You will have to present yourself at the Aliens and Immigration office. As I remember they will give you a form to fill in, and you will need a passport and proof of medical insurance or S1 form, nothing complicated! For me, it went all very smoothly.
