Immigration home visits

ppeett

Has anyone been visited by immigration at their home address to check if both partners are living together.

I am British and wife is non EU and has 5yr yellow slip, but she is currently living alone in Cyprus, I wonder if she will have a problem?

I dont know for sure but i would think that the answer is unlikely to be yes...  they really dont have  the resources available to do such things,

there are thousands of Brits here who are here illegally they have never registered and never registered for tax or social contributions  working illegally for cash as private taxis doing airport runs and unlicensed uncertified pool cleaners.. and none of them have been caught or deported...

I know the rules are different for TCNs but in all honesty i doubt there would ever be a home visit, i think they would need to have reasonable suspicion of wrong doing for a home visit to be justified
