yellow slip validity

yes i understand that - but youve no need to show your MEU1 at entry just show your passport as a visitor, but you can if you wish to do so.. it is your decision. We've not left the island for over 5 years and have no intentions of travelling anytime soon until this mess is sorted - - we really want to see our family and take a cruise etc but hey it is what it is and we can wait am kinda hoping this will mess will be much improved by the time I formally get my pension in 15 months and then we can really celebrate

you still have an MEU1 and once IN you can sort the meu1 to WA requirements once IN but remember there is no mandatory requirement to change your current MEU1 or MEU3 for that matter to WA card anyway it is not mandatory... Iwould be sorlely tempted to enter with my passport and MEU1 (some are getting stamped anyway no matter what you have/show and others arent so I think there is a level of confusion at passport control.. but you can dispute it and appeal the stamp and have it removed

as far as any exemptions are concerned I wouldnt expect anything happening quickly to solve British resident issues ....

Cyprus infections are up again and rising slightly daily - 388 yesterday , hospitalisations rising slightly too, meeting next week to discuss potential changes to restrictions but I suspect they wall fall short of a lockdown as I think they prefer the CovScan method to assist control of infections in areas where people congregate as well as further enforcement if masking sanitizing and distancing... so we need to wait and see.

Good luck in whatever you decide

I was hoping to hear how the others got on in the same boat?. Did they just come back and resume living there or were there restrictions etc., time will tell. As things stand I am too nervous to travel even now, also my husband just died six weeks ago so very shaky. I have to change my medical card too as I was his dependent on it S1 so many details. Looks like March before its safe to travel if the surge is contained. Its the pandemic more than anything,

I agree its more complicated especially regarding your healthcare. Hopefully the picture will be different in March

To be honest theres really more readers than contributors here you may do be better to ask on the many ask anything pages on Facebook for a broader section of contributors for the answers you seek I can only wish you the very best of luck

I dont like asking on these public forums toon, they can be very critical and not very nice. It was Morton52 on here that caught my eye as he is in the same boat as me. I have written to him hopefully he replies. Thank you fir all your non judgemental help though.
