Doctor without sundhedskort?

Kimbo96

Hi,

I have just started working in Copenhagen and have not yet got my sundhedskort. Now I need to go to the doctor. How does that work? Do I have to pay a bunch of money to see a doctor?

Are you a Swedish citizen? No problem, you can use the Danish health system without problems.

You don't need to have the physical card in hand. If you have got your CPR number, you'll also have chosen a GP. That's enough to book an appointment.

Hi Nellie,

Thanks for your reply!

I got my CPR from my employer, but I didn't get any letter directly from the Danish tax office. So I don't really know who to contact here in Denmark to get a hold of a doctor. Who would my GP be?

Are you registered at a Danish address?

In your case, I would ask what is up and down.
