Accommodation and moving

Adelaidee.s

Hi!
My name is Adélaïde and I’ll turn 18 in June. I have been accepted in the London campus of a french university and my classes will be starting at the beginning of September and so I have a few questions.
What websites do you recommend to find the best accommodation in London? I will most likely have a flat-share with some other students from the same course.
Do the flats in London usually come with furniture? And what is the best way to move my things (clothes, books, a few personal belongings...) from France to the UK ?
Last thing because of Covid-19 I saw that we will have to self-isolate for 14 days, where am I supposed to go? At a hotel? Or can I still self-isolate into the flat that I will be renting? It will be complicated to not go out in the first 14 days as I most likely will need to buy some stuff that I’m missing...
Sorry if I made any mistake, my English is getting a little rusty haha

Have a great day!

Hi and welcome to the Forum.

Accommodation in London is expensive.  You might want to try speaking to your University in London; many have reserved accommodation for 1st-year students and also maintain lists of current students who have space for a newbie; at least that's what my daughter did when she went to Uni in London.

Hope this helps.

Unless you have deep pockets I would forget London even shared accommodation is hard to find but not impossible. I would take Cynic advice and look for "Halls" much cheaper.
