Life in London

Julien

Hi,

I wanted to share my experience in London. Even if I am coming from a sunny place and that it's often cloudy there, even if stress is part of every day's life, I really like this city!

It is -I think- the most cosmopolitan city in Europe, people from everywhere in the world, living all together in the same place! It's been a great experience for me to have fun with people from the other side of the planet ... we are not so different!

The nightlife is also fantastic, you can find whatever atmosphere you like! I really liked Angel, Shoreditch, the huge pubs in the City and in Liverpool Street, Camden Town (of course), Covent garden ... so many good places and pints of beer :)

Most of the museums are free in London: the British museum, the national art gallery (with Van Gogh's tournesols), the Tate modern, the Albert and Victoria ...

I really like Christmas in Oxford Circus and Bond Street with beautiful coloured lights and decoration everywhere.

And so many concerts! If any international artist has to come in one place in Europe, for sure it's gonna be London!

I am still going there almost every month, for business reasons, and each time I am quite happy to come back in this fantastic city.

Any Londoner here?

Big shock this morning. I haven't got any word to say what I feel. We're living in a sick world.

Julian, did you get my last letter?

As for the London event, yeah it's pretty sad.  bad news is, I don't think is was islamic militants.  I don't have anything to prove what I have to say, so I won't say it.  But I will say that I seriously doubt it's the islamic front.

Having relocated to London for a year or so, I find the culture aspect of this city exhilarating. Museums, plays, musicals and jazz performances.... the list just go on and on. I don't think I'll ever get bored over here.

Also, Europe is just a train ride away... what more can I want? Hmm...
