Hi pruska - it's a little late, but maybe for future reference...
You can take a train from鈥� Lyon past Montpellier to S猫te (my town :-) ). From the gare, catch either the #3 bus to the Corniche, or the #9 bus (May-Sept only) to the Corniche or further South along the beaches all the way to Marseillan plage.

Or of course you can stay on the train all the way to Collioure (or even Barcelona!)
