Teaching English in Nice...?

adzbudz

Hi, I would like to teach English in Nice and I just wanted to know about what this experience was like for anyone who has done this? Also are there any culture shocks that I should be aware of? Any other tips/advice would also be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance :)

Good morning!

First of all, what is your nationality and what are qualifications and experience teaching ESL (English as a Second Language)?

Just being a native speaker of English does not make you a teacher.

PS: since in your profile, you indicate that you speak Arabic, which we can understand that you are not from UE. In such a situation, you have to find an employer in France who will have to prove that he cannot find anyone suitable not only in France but also in the UE (+ Switzerland, Norway, Iceland). We can also understand that you do not speak French since you mention English and Arabic.

Sorry, I do not want to be a dream breaker but ....

Just because I speak Arabic, does not mean that I don't live in the EU 1f923.svg1f602.svg

My nationality is British

I hold the CELTA qualification as well as a degree

Ok then!

But what experience do you have? Do you speak French?

It is obviously requested to know local language in order not only to explain grammar to less advanced students but also to be able to anticipate difficulties to be met by students.

However, because of Brexit, you need work permit to work in France (more than 3 mos) and in order to receive one, you have to find an employer in France who will have to prove..- see the rest of my paragraph... Visa will be applied for by employer
