Hi guys, I want to know about your experiences while living here, what was it like living in Paris and how did you find a job?please write about your experiences so that I can survive in the country of Paris later
I just wanted to move to Paris because in Indonesia I have a lot of memories with my late aunt that really hit me hard maybe by moving to Paris I will be able to reduce my sadness
-@Karina Reynalita

Hi!

As to your sadness, you will carry it around wherever you are.

Re living in France and working there, you need (from abroad) to find an employer in France, who will have to prove that he cannot find anyone suitable both in France and in the European Union.

Obviously you may not come as a "tourist" and change your visa while there.

This is the way to move to any country.

Hello again !

You MAY NOT arrive in France (or to 99.99% of places) just with your bag and look for a job because it is ILLEGAL.

In order to be allowed to work in France (and elsewhere), you have to find a job in France BEFORE planning to go to France for which employer has to prove he cannot find anyone in France and/or in European Union able to do the work.  So, unless you are some kind of a genious, your chances are 0.  Besides, not speaking French is something against you. For at least 99.99% of jobs, French language is absolutely necessary.

Just go through this forum (and any other) and you will see how hard it is even for British or Americans, et.... to settle down in France and to find work.

Furthermore, going as a tourist (in which case you well have to prove that you have enough money and a medical insurance), you will not be allowed to change your visa. A tourist visa is a permission to visit country and when your visa expires, you have to leave otherwise, you will be illegal.

Sorry to rain on your parade but you have to face reality.
